Pscheidt Ancestors
My ancestor, Peter KELNHOFER born 10 April 1729
in Rittsteig, Bavaria who married Anna Barbara RICKEL born 17 March 1731/32.
Their son, Georg Michael Kelnhofer born 16 Oct. 1765 in Rittsteig, Bavaria was
married to Eva FRISCH born 27 June 1767. They were married 18 Oct. 1784 at
Deschenitz, Bohemia. George died in 1839 in Eisenstrass, Bohemia. Eva died
in 1849. Eva was the daughter of Johann FRISCH and Margarethe KOLLROSS.
George and Eva had a son Johann George KELNHOFER born 22 Jan 1790 in Eisenstrass,
Bohemia. He Died after 1851. He married Anna Maria LINZMAYER in Eisenstrass on
24 Nov. 1812. She was the Daughter of Johann LINZMAYER and Anna LISMEYER. Anna
Maria was born 23 Nov. 1776 in Eisenstrass. Both Johann and Anna died
sometime after 1851. Their son Jacob (or Jakob) KELNHOFER married Barbara
KOLLROSS. Barbara was born 10 July 1813. She died 17 June 1894. Jacob died
in 1870 in Eisenstrass, Bohemia. Children of Jacob and Barbara were:
Engelbert born in 1852, who married Katharina RANK (believed to be the daughter
of Franz Xaver RANK) Joseph who married Margart Weinfurter (my great great
grandparents), Alois, Anna who married Ignatz PSCHEIDT, Barbara and Karl.
Margaret WEINFURTER was the daughter of George
WEINFURTER and Margaretha Pscheidt. She came to America at the age of 30
and worked two years at the Rice Hotel in Green Bay, WI. At the age of 33
she married a widower, Joseph SCHNEIDER, who had five children from a previous
marriage. Together Margaret and Joseph SCHNEIDER had three children:
Rose who married Wolfgang SEIDL; Joseph who married Frances KOLORS (I think
KOLLROSS) and Eva who married Joseph SCHOETZ.
Joseph Schneider died, then Margaret married
Joseph KELNHOFER on January 18, 1881 at New Frankin, WI and they had the
following children: Anna who married Wesley S. SIGL; Katie who married
Joseph DORNER, Nick who married Katie TREMEL, twins Barbara and Margaret:
Barbara married Joseph BURKART and Margaret married Joseph ASCHENBRENNER.
These families lived in Wisconsin near Green Bay,
in Luxemburg, Seymour and some came to the Wood County, Wisconsin area of
Marshfield, Auburndale, Wisconsin Rapids.
