Blanche Mae Malone was the daughter of Margaret (Maxwell) and Lester Hardy and was born on a farm in Harrison Co Iowa on August 5, 1907. She died on November 27, 1986 at the age of 79 yrs 3 months and 22 days at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital at Denison, Iowa.

Blanche received her early education in the rural schools. She was united in marriage to Reuben Jenis Malone of Rural Dow City on March 28, 1927 at Logan, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Dow City. In 1970 they moved to Arion where she lived until she entered the rest home on January 2 1986 due to failing health.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reuben who passed away on January 2 1985; her parents; one son, Lloyd in 1941; twin daughters Marlene & Merlene in 1944; one brother Harold; one sister Gladys and three grandchildren.

Survivors include 5 daughters and 2 sons; one brother; 31 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. at the RLDS Church in Dow City. Burial in the Dow City Cemetery with Elder Vince Argotsinger officiating at the services. Huebner Funeral Home in Denison was in charge of the arrangements.
