Peter Renz nearly 62, former resident of
Warren township, died at 1:15 pm Sunday at his home 536 Williams St, after a
serious illness of two weeks. He had been failing in health for 10 years
and the family had moved to the home in this city five months ago. Mr
Renz was born in Warren township December 25, 1881 to Frank and Caroline
Vollmer Renz and was married to Nellie Howenstine November 26, 1904.
Surviving now are the widow, two sons , two
daughters, 10 grandchildren, four brothers and a sister.
The children are Mrs. Lucile Henemyer this
city, Mrs. Martha Prillaman (?) Warren township, Leroy Renz Warren
township, and Hayden Renz Walbash county. the oldest of the grandchildren Pvt. Lenoard Henemyer is in France with the American army. Brothers
now Adam Renz, Warren township, John Renz, Leneza Kansas, Henry
Renz, LaPaz, Clarence Renz this city and August Renz,
Plymouth. The sister is Mrs Charles Shultz, Warsaw. Several brothers and
sisters preceded him in death.
Mr Renz was a member of the St John's
Evangelical church of Bippus. The body was taken to the Bailey funeral home
where friends may call and where funeral services will be held at 3 pm Wednesday
with the Rev R B Meckstroth, this city and the Rev H H Bierbaum,
Bippus officiating Interment will be in St John's cemetery west of Bippus.

BODY AT HOME UNTIL MORNING BEFORE RITES
The body of Peter Renz who died Sunday
evening, will be at the home 536 William street until 10 am Wednesday when it
will be removed to the Bailey funeral home where services will be held at 2 pm
that day.

PETER RENZ FUNERAL SERVICES CONDUCTED
Funeral services for Peter Renz were held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Bailey
chapel, the Rev R B Meckstroth and the Rev H H Bierbaum
officiating. Mrs Clara Garber and Joseph Bechtold were vocalists,
accompanied by Mary Bailey at the organ. Flowerbearers were Ethel
Landrum, Frieda Kester, Jessie Hockensmith, Barbara Cotton, Deloris Hippensteel, Miriam Krumanaker, Eloise Young, Irene Felton, Phyllis
Ellen Renz, Hazel Stands, Lavada Paul, Berniece Flora, Eunice Henemyer, Bonnita
Urschel, Mrs Oscar Felton. Pallbearers were Leon Urschel, George
Powell, Andrew Kaufman, Elmer Hockensmith, John Sell, Otto Young, Dale Close and
Jacob Stetzel.
Burial was at St John's Evangelical cemetery near
Bippus.
