Mrs. Helen Sexton, 59, Native of Taylorsville
Dies Early Today
Mrs. Helen Sexton, 59, who had resided for the
last three years at Brazil, Ind. died at 2 o'clock this morning in Clay County
Hospital at Brazil. She had been residing with a daughter there.
She was born in Taylorville March 8, 1917, a
daughter of William Edward and Mary Durbin Jones and was married in this city in
April, 1947 to Estel Sexton, who preceded her in death on November 22,
1959. She had resided most of her lifetime in Taylorville where she was a
member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are four sons, two daughters, her
mother, two sisters, two brothers and nine
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Monday
morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard Meyer, associate
priest officiating and interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call in Shafer Funeral Home from 2
until 5 and 7 until 9 o'clock Sunday afternoon and night where Wake services
will be held at 8 o'clock.
Helen Sexton died March 1976 in Terre Haute,
Indiana and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, Illinois.
