He was a miner and prospector which he did until his death at 61 of t.b. probably brought on by mine work. He loved the outdoors far more than family life with wife and children. The auto Murphy was driving over turned and Murphy was crushed to death, while Earl Cummings was able to crawl out. John E. Williams and his family came by at that time. They helped Birdsong, but he died at the scene. The funeral services were held by Rev. O.C. Wilcoxon, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Grubbs,AR. His wife Mary was also born in 1818 (month and date unknown). She had twins on August 15, 1843. One died at birth and was not named and the headstone does not say if the twin was a boy or girl. The other twin died 28 days later and was also named Mary. Mary Hall (mother) died 2 days after the twin were born (August 17, 1843). Levi was a farmer and blacksmith. This is all the information I have been able to find as of now.
