ANDREW THOMSPON CALDWELL August 1936 Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Winnipeg, Man. Canada i AM trying hard to find my Grandfather's ancestry and have not been able to find anything on HIM OR HIS FAMILY. I heard he was born in Scotland (maybe Glasgow) or that he was born on a ship off the coast of Sydney, Australia Dec. 17, 1884 -1888. His father and mother were from Scotland - JAMES CALDWELL and ISABELLA THOMPSON. I do not know if they emigrated there from England or Ireland, I never heard anything but Scotland. ANDREW THOMPSON CALDWELL married CATHERINE TAINSH (who had a brief marriage to "Bunty" Crawford - I think in Perthshire, which produced 2 children, which may have been twin girls. We do not know who raised the children - heard they lived in U.S. and prob. died there. Grandma CATHERINE TAINSH married ANDREW THOMSPON CALDWELL In Manitoba, Canada in 1908 and had 5 children, Catherine May, Mary, JAMES GEORGE CALDWELL, Isabella (Bella - Howard) and Andrew (Andy). All are deceased. My father, JAMES GEORGE CALDWELL, B. Dec. 26, 1911 married Fay (Stephaney) HOCKMAN from Theodore, Saskatchewan and Winnipeg, on Sept 2, 1939 and they had 4 children born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
