He passed away in the hospital at Houlton, after battling emphysema for almost 7 years. I saw him just a few days before his death and I will always hold dear the time we had to share. My grandparents were married about 45 years when he passed on. My grandmother, Velma McKee, passed away this past November 12, 2002. She was 96 years old and when I was told she had died, all I could picture was my grandfather standing in Heaven with open arms, waiting for 30 years, to be with him after all this time! I loved them both very much and I will always be greatful for the time they were in my life!
