Marie Ellis July 22, 1984 Kalispell, Montana Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell, Montana Marie Ellis, 92, Kalispell, died in North Valley Hospital Extended Care Unit of Sunday. She was born April 3, 1892, in Leroy, ND a daughter of Patrick & Victoria Bartlett. She was educated in North Dakota. In 1936 she moved to the Flathead Valley. She had been employed as a cook since coming here and had worked for the American Timber Company, the Park Service in Glacier National Park and various restaurants including Phil's Silver Grill and Alton Pierce Drug. She was preceded in death by eight brothers; a sister; three sons, August & Orville Wulff and N.L. Schmitz; and a granddaughter, Barbara Murphy Velasco. She is survived by a son, Don Ellis of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Lorraine Hendrix of Bremerton, Washington, Elsie Isakson of Twentynine Palms, California and Mrs. Kenneth (Charlene) Lee of Kalispell; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10am Wednesday in Glacier Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bob Ivers of North Valley Alliance Church officiating. Friends will meet at cemetery for services. Anna (Clark )Boorman Sptember 18, 1937 Hastings, Adams, Nebraska Hawarden, Sioux, Iowa Obituary From The Hawarden Independent : Death of Mrs. Anna Boorman Passed away Last Friday At Hastings Nebraska Was 72 Years of Age and Spent Most of Her Adult Life in Hawarden Laid to Rest Here Monday Mrs. Anna Boorman, for many years a resident of Hawarden, passed away last Friday morning at Hastings Nebr., following an illness of but three days caused by a heart attack. She had been in her usual state of health prior to last week. Funeral services were held at he Hastings Christian Science church in Hastings at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Wallace Allen, a Science reader, in charge. The body was brought to Hawarden, Sunday and a brief service was held at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Ross Funeral Home, with Rev, J. G. Waterman pastor of the Methodist church, in charge. Internment was made in Grace Hill cemetery where her husband and daughter are buried. Anna Clark was born at Belle Plaine, Iowa, June 4, 1865, so was past 72 years of age at the time of her death. She came to Hawarden with her parents and other members of the family as a young woman in the fall of 1887, her father being in the empoy of the North Western Railroad company. For a number of years she assited Miss Lucy L, Brady in conducting her millinery and dressmaking shop in Hawarden and later was emplyed in the Ahrens Bros. dry goods store. When the firm sidcontinued business here about 1896 she went to Sterling , Ill. where for a number of months she was employed in the Ahrens store at that place and she was united in marriage at Sterling with J. Fred Boorman of Hawarden on September 9, 1897. They returned immediatley to Hawarden to make their home, Mr Boorman being employed as a baggageman for the North Western Railway Company. He passed away here Oct 31, 1905, Following a lingering illness, leaving her with a small daughter, Edna. Following the death of Mr. Boorman she was employed for many years inthe ready-to-wear department of the B.J. Hyink and other stores. Her daughter Edna, then a high school senior, was one of the three girls who lost their lives here in a tragic drowning in May 1916, when a boat which they occupied while on a class picnic along the river was swept over the dam. The other girls who were drwoned were Neva Johnson and Marjory Fairbrother. Mrs. Boorman continued her work hereuntil fifteen years ago when she went to Hastings where she has been since employed in the ready-to-wear department of a large store. Mrs. Boorman was a long time member of the ocal P.E.O. chapter. She was a woman of many noble traits of character and possesed those qualities which edeared her greatly to a wide circle of friends who deeply mourn her death. She is servived by two brothers, Frank Clark of Bloomfield, Nebraska and Harry Clark of Sioux Falls, S.D. and one sister Mrs. E. Alexander, Royal, Nebraska. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral services here included her brother Frank Clark, and his daughterand husband Mr. and Mrs. Bud La Farge, Bloomfield, Nebraska; and her sister Mr. and Mrs. E. Mikel Daniel Larkin Feb. 14, 1941 Wausa, Knox, Nebraska Bloomfield, Knox, Nebraska The Wausa Gazette: Feb. 1941 Mikel Daniel Larkin Died Last Friday Mikel Daniel Larkin was born in Chicago, Illinios, Dec. 24th 1867. He came to Nebraska when a young man and united in marriage to Dorothea Martha Peters, at Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 33 years. They resided in Fremont for a number of years where he was employed as a carpenter. The family moved to Bloomfield in 1906, locating on a farm where they resided until the death of Mrs. Larkin in 1936. Mr Larkin then moved to Bloomfield where he lived alone until he became ill two months ago, whenhe came to Wausa to live with his daughter, Mrs.E.B. Halsey. He continued to fail, and he passed away at 5 o'clock on Friday, February 14, at the age 74 years, 1 month, and 20 days. He leaves to morn his passing five daughters and three sons, Mrs. W.D. Root, Alliance, Nebraska; Mrs. E.B. Halsey and Rose, Wausa, Nebraska; Mrs. Oscar Gray, Grand Island, Nebraska; Mrs. Clarence Harbison, Bloomfield, Nebraska; John, Ponca, Nebraska; and Harvey, Wausa, Nebraska. There are fifteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was preceeded in death by two sets of twins each a boy and a girl. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.G. Ellis at the Methodist Churchin Bloomfield, Nebraska at 2 o'clock on Tuesday, February 18, 1941.
