Rev. Thomas W. Lung, 79 January 21, 2004 Health Services Center of Pilgrim Place - Claremont, California Born on October 30, 1924 near Auburn, Ind., to the late Archie M. and Myrtle Lung. They grew up in Northwestern Ohio, where his father was a Methodist minister. Rev. Thomas Lung graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University School of Theology in Boston, Mass. and later earned a Master's Degree from Boston Graduate School. He was accepted by the Methodist Church Board of Global Ministries in 1948 and was sent to the Phillipines for 21 years, then to Hong Kong for 20 more years. Most of his work was done in Audio-visual communications. Mr. Lung sang as tenor in the Hong Kong Oratorio Society and was on the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong YMCA. He became known as "Uncle Tom" at Silliman University in the Phillipines.
