Orab man and injured the driver and passengers of another car, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Post in Georgetown. At approximately 3:15 p.m. April 17, Mark A. Hall, 44, of Mt. Orab, was traveling northbound in his 1991 Ford Explorer on State Route 774 near Yankeetown Road when he drove his car left of center, causing a head-on collision with a 1979 Ford Econoline van driven by "Omitted" of Feesburg, according to the Post. Hall was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The Post reported him as being the first person to lose his life in a traffic accident in Brown County in 2004. "Omitted" sustained severe injuries and was flown by University Air-Care helicopter to University Hospital in Cincinnati. Passengers in "Omitted's" vehicle who also were injured include his wife "omitted", a 10-year-old daughter, and two sons, ages 8 and 9. "Omitted's" wife and one juvenile passenger were transported by Georgetown Life Squad to Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown. A Miami Valley Care Flight helicopter transported the other two juvenile passengers to Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. The OSHP Post reported on April 22 that all occupants of "Omitted's" car had been released from the hospitals where they had been transported. The Ohio State Highway Patrol accident report stated that Hall was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but "Omitted" and the passengers in his car were all wearing seat belts, according to the accident report. The crash currently remains under investigation by the OSHP.
