Susan Elizabeth Worrel Felton, 57 Friday - November 25, 2005 Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community She had battled brain cancer for almost 16 years. Born on July 16, 1948 in Salina, KS. She attended Woodward High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and played first chair flute in the Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra. She then attended Wittenberg University on a flute scholarship, obtaining a degree in Elementary Music Education, she was a music teacher in the Cincinnati Public Schools for 25 years, teaching at Shroeder Junior High, Taft, CAPE, Parham, and Washington Park Elementaries, to name a few. While at Washington Park, she arranged classroom visits with members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and her students sang frequently at the Kroger building and most notably for actor/dancer Gregory Hines when he visited the school. She lived and volunteered her time at Koinonia Farm in Americus, Georgia in the late 1960's and early 70's and later for the Cincinnati Chapter of Habitat for Humanity in the 1990's. Also a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church in Amelia, Clermont County, Ohio where she sanf in choir, played in the hand bell choir and frequently played the flute.
