Alfred SINKS ? Humphreys County, Tennessee Sinks Cemetery, Humphreys County, Tennessee Cemetery is located 3 or 4 miles up North White Oak Road from Highway 13, north of Waverly, Tennessee. (The address of that area is McEwen, TN, and the cemetery can also be reached from Highway 231 from McEwen.) See U.S. 1860, 1870, and 1880 federal census records for Tennessee. Lived in District 5 of Humphreys County, TN. Born about 1823. Wife’s name was Margaret (born about 1827 to 1834). Children were Warren W. SINKS (1853 – 1888), Russell SINKS (1855 – 1892), Fannie SINKS (born about 1861), Forrest SINKS (born about 1866), Amizon/Amozon SINKS (born about 1851), and Martha SINKS (born about 1858). Russell SINKS married Phenelope Alsobrooks. There are several Sinks family members buried in the Sinks Cemetery, including Warren SINKS and Russell SINKS and Russell’s son, Wiley Russell SINKS (5-11-1889 – 11-3-1983), and his wife, Lettie Gertrude AVERITT SINKS (2-23-1892 – 7-1-1952). Maggie SINKS (1886 – 1961) is buried there. I think she was Wiley SINKS’ sister. Also Garrett Dilton SINKS (1-14-1916 – 6-8-1987), Wiley’s son, and Nelvia G. SINKS RYE (10-22-1926 – 2-10-2000), Wiley’s daughter. Alfred SINKS may have been Green “Berry” SINKS’ (1823 – 1906) brother. I know the families are related. Green Berry SINKS lived and is buried down White Oak Creek in another Sinks Cemetery in the Woolworth Community. Green Berry SINKS moved from the east fork of Yellow Creek in Dickson County, TN, to Humphreys County, so Alfred probably did also. (Green Berry SINKS was born in Tennessee, probably Montgomery County or Dickson County. He may have been related to Jessee SINKS who was in Montgomery County in 1820.)

Elizabeth BROWN MARBERRY SINKS, according to cemetery records for the SINKS CEMETERY in Humphreys County, was the mother of Mary SINKS 1856 - 1944) and Willie L. SINKS (1863 - 1864).
