William Henry Hall, One of jackson's men, surcumbs here. Father of 20 children, 33 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, William Henry Hall, 90 year old Confederate veteran, died last night at 10:35 pm. in his home, 1627 West Cary Street. Seven of the children were by his first marriage and the other 13 by the second. Fifteen are living, the oldest; Miss Julia Hall, residing at 1519 West Cary Street, she is 62, the baby is Edith, she is 5 years old. Mr. Hall was born in Boutetourt County Virginia, but spent most of his life in Goochland County as a farmer. 3 years ago he moved to Richmond, where practically all of his children and grandchildren live. He served in the Confederate Army, in the 44th regiment, Company D, Virginia Infantry for 4 years, and was shot twice. He was captured in the battle of Chancellorsville and was taken to the prison at Elmira, New York. His command was under Stonewall Jackson. This funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock; in Smyrna Church at Three Square, Virginia. The burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. His 1st wife was Belinda, his 2nd wife was Louisianna Hall, later to be Anna Louise. Mrs. Hall's maiden name was Hall prior to marriage. No kin.
